This strip was somewhat important in the sense that I've NO interest in applying all THAT much of the real world laws that govern the electoral process. I just want to jump the the chase and do a fun "Evil Dandy" story.
For the record, Bernard and I don't agree on this. For example, counting from the 1960's "Batman: The Movie", "Batman Begins" would be the 7th Batman film. Remember that "Batman: Mask of the Phantasm" was a theatrically released film. But even if you only count the films from 1989's "Batman" up and disregard the animated entry, you still have "The Dark Knight Rises" at 7.
There's also "Diamonds are Forever", "Wes Craven's New Nightmare", "Rise of the Planet of the Apes", "Harry Potter" and "Halloween: H20". (You may argue about the quality of the films listed, but it's MY site and I declare them GOOD. So there!)
